EntrepeneuR-ing in the New Year!

For the past 15 years I've been running a business classified as a corporation solely owned by me.  And I can absolutely guarantee you that I have NOT done it alone.  I am a firm believer in the power of the team and I have made a commitment in my business to look for people who hold strengths I do not, and to surround myself with individuals and resources that inspire me.

While I can't share my amazing team of teachers, administrators and support staff with you , I can share my favorite resources for business.   I encourage you to take advantage of these as 2010 comes 'round the bend.  The sooner you avail yourself of the wisdom and tools these sites offer, the better off you and your business will be!

Collective-E.
A phenomenal membership based business resource.  Jumping off the notion off the "collective brain trust" - this site is NOT a site - they are real people, with real businesses and real answers.  You will connect with live human beings who have powerful tools to increase your visibility, marketability and sale-ability!  But don't just believe me - sign up for this month's FREE Virtual Tea Party - listen in and see what they can do for you!  In this day and age of hi-tech, Collective-E brings the personal and technological together to help you boost your business.  And yes, I am am a member!

Seth Godin
If you don't have time to read his dozen or so books, you might just glean a prophetic idea or phrase from his blog.  Seth is a mentor in your inbox.  He has big ideas in few words and reminds you that you just might be thinking about your business in the completely wrong way.  If it's snippets you crave, Seth is your guy!  He motivates and illuminates all in a nifty paragraph or two.

Productive Flourishing
2008 was all about optimizing productivity for me so when I discovered this site, I was over the moon.  Charlie Gilkey runs the site and focuses on products and strategy that take the waste out of your time and focus you properly to maximize your effort and ideas.  If you've got a few bucks to invest in the products he recommends (ToDoodList is my personal favorite) you wont' be disappointed.  He has plenty of free giveaways too including some awesome charts to help you prioritize and visualize your projects.

So, bring on 2010 - armed with these tools you are ready to forge ahead.
